Lindsay Gertz
Playing Experience:  I grew up in Wauconda, Illinois playing for the Wauconda Chiefs Soccer Club and was a 4 year Varsity starter for Wauconda High School.  During high school, I took part in the State and Regional ODP (Olympic Development Program) for 2 years. While playing with the ODP, I traveled throughout the United States and Europe playing against the top talent at my age level.  I was part of the first recruited class as a scholarship athlete to the University of Illinois Women's Soccer Program. The university’s first Head Coach was Jillian Ellis who is currently the US Women's National Team Head Coach.  I was a 4 year starter for the Fighting Illini and was nominated by my teammates my sophomore year to become Team Captain.  My time as a competitive player seems to be a lifetime ago and I am now a soccer mom!

Coaching Experience:  USSF National "D" License.  I couldn't be more excited to pass my knowledge of the game to young athletes through coaching.  Over the years, my coaching career has grown from Tiny Kickers to Competitive Club. I have been with SBW/F.C. Alliance for 2 years.  Each season I feel I am continuing to grow as a coach and learning the game from a coaching perspective.  I enjoy seeing the kids improve season to season, but more importantly, seeing how much they love to play!
